Keystone Ski Resorts Are Your Key To The Perfect Vacation

Keystone Ski Resorts are located in Keystone, Colorado, about 90 miles from the Denver Airport. There are three mountains for skiing and snowboarding. Keystones has about a six month ski season from October to late April. With 135 trails and 20 lifts, you can ski as much as you’d like. They even offer night skiing. In addition to skiing, there are other activities to keep you busy. You can ice skate, snowshoe, or take a snowmobile tour or sleigh ride. If you overdo it, a trip to one of the spas will get you back in shape for the next day’s activities.

There are several villages that comprise the Keystone Ski Resort. The Mountain House neighborhood was the original resort. It is close to Dercum Mountain and convenient to all the ski activities including children’s ski school, shops and restaurants. Lakeside Village is along Keystone Lake and features the Spa at Keystone Lodge and Keystone Conference Center. The newest village is River Run village. The River Run Gondola provides easy access to the mountain and this village is known for its festivals, street fairs, night life, restaurants, shops, and boutiques. All the villages are served by the free Summit County shuttle service.

In addition to numerous lodges and inns, there are condos and townhomes for rent. If you are planning a long vacation with a large group, it may make sense to rent one of the many private homes or chalets in the area. Most are within walking distance to the ski areas and retail area. There are plenty of dining options in the area and most clubs have live music as do some of the hotels. While the Keystone Ski Resorts seem to be far from the hectic life in the city, it is not far from Denver, so if you miss the hustle and bustle, a rental car will get you there in no time.

It doesn’t matter if you are a champion skier or a novice. There are trails for every skill level as well as classes for beginners and children. Keystone Ski Resorts are also a popular summer destination. You can enjoy hiking, swimming, mountain biking. horseback riding, and river rafting. The weather is warm and mostly dry in summer, so you’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy all the outdoors has to offer. Many of the accommodations in the area offer all inclusive packages and off season deals. Some of the hotels are very reasonably priced so a vacation at Keystone Ski Resorts is within reach of most families.
