Telluride Ski Resort: A Top Winter Destination
Telluride has a reputation for being one of the premier winter vacation destinations in the state of Colorado. Ute Park is made for beginning riders, Butterfly Park is for intermediates, and Air Garden is for experts. All three of these terrain parks feature lots of great boxes, rails, rollers, jumps and pipes. If you're new at skiing or snowboarding, this resort offers fantastic lessons. There are group classes, kids classes, and private instruction. Before you hit the slopes at Telluride, be sure to pick up a Slope Tracker GPS System. This armband monitors all sorts of information like runs completed, speed achieved and calories burned!
There's also snow tubing at this resort offered at Thrill Hill, a fun outdoor activity center for kids and adults. Guided tours and snowshoe hiking are also popular activities and give you the perfect way to experience the majesty of nature up close. But what can you do when you're tired of outdoor activity? Plenty! Telluride resort has the world-renowned Golden Door Spa where you can enjoy amazing services like massages and facials. The shopping at this resort is also fantastic, featuring fine boutiques and shops found nowhere else.
When you're ready to eat, there are many great restaurants waiting for you. Affordable family meals can be found at places like Poacher's Pub and Big Daddy's. One of the finest gourmet restaurants is La Marmotte, which offers French cuisine in a gorgeous country environment. Allred's Restaurant is another one of the finest establishments in Telluride, offering diners not only great food but spectacular scenery as well. In the mood for Asian food? Then you definitely should check out Honga's Lotus Petal, a great place for sushi and surprisingly, mojitos!
